MEET CHEF JOHN
Chef John Dutra hails from San Jose California. He attended San Jose State University where he graduated with a B.S. Degree. Shortly after he graduated, he opened one of the largest events and catering businesses in Silicon Valley. The Tower Picnic, Event and Catering Facility hosted many Silicon Valley companies including divisions of Apple, eBay, Facebook, Bank of America, Intel, and Hewlett Packard just to name a few. As the Executive Chef and Owner, he operated the successful operation for over 23 years. In 2008 he became a classically trained Chef and graduated from the International Culinary School top in his class carrying a 4.0 Class Valedictorian. In 2013 he and his wife moved to the Coachella Valley where he was hired as the Chef de Cuisine at Two Bunch Palms Resort then moving to Palm Desert Resort Country Club where he was the Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef for the last 6 years. John now brings his thirty plus years as a Chef to the Mission Hills North, Gary Player Signature Golf Course as the Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef. John is very passionate about providing great food and great service.
